The Pulaski Area Historical Society (PAHS) is excited to announce they have been chosen as a recipient of the Give Big Green Bay Fundraising Event. The event is a 24-hour fundraising event that encourages people to donate to the organization. The non-profit will receive additional funds based upon a percentage of what they receive during this 24-hour event through Give BIG Green Bay.
Give BIG Green Bay highlights the important work that nonprofit organizations are providing in every corner of our community. Over the past five years, Give BIG Green Bay has raised over $8.0 million dollars to support our community. The 24-hour online giving event is a simple way to distribute financial contributions to local charities. This year there are 45 participating organizations, and the Pulaski Area Historical Society is proud to be one of them.
From Tuesday, February 21st noon through Wednesday, February 22nd you can donate to the organization’s Give Big Green Bay Dashboard. The direct link to the Pulaski Area Historical Society’s online donation page is https://www.givebiggreenbay.
The Pulaski Area Historical Society strongly encourages businesses to provide incentives to employees to help promote and encourage a donation to the non-profit organization. “We would love to see area businesses help in our fundraising efforts”, said Tammy Brzeczkowski, Board Member of the PAHS.
Currently, the organization has undertaken a huge project that will require additional funds to complete and maintain. This project is the “Pulaski Community Archives Project”. This project will enable us to share historical documents, photos, clippings, birth certificates, articles, magazines, books, artifacts, and newspaper issues including the Pulaski News starting from 1924! The archives include historical information from Pulaski, Wisconsin, and surrounding communities. “The best part about this archiving project is that everything is searchable”, according to Steve Peplinski, a Board member who has been instrumental in streamlining the project. You can learn more by accessing the www.pulaskiwihistory.com website or by going directly to the archive project, www.archivepahs.org. PAHS also has a Youtube video of how to do a simple search at https://youtu.be/GmlmP03aEEA.
The Pulaski Museum will be open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, February 21st, and from 8 am to noon on Wednesday, February 22nd to provide assistance to anyone that would like to donate through the online dashboard. Online links will be available to access only during that 24-hour period. In honor of Pączki day (Fat Tuesday), there will be paczki and coffee available during the open hours of this event. The organization will also be on hand to accept checks made payable to Pulaski Area Historical Society on these two days. Give BIG Green Bay does not accept cash donations.
